Types Of Holes In The Heart And Their Effects

The heart is composed of four chambers: two atria and two ventricles. The former are positioned atop the latter. Deoxygenated blood enters the right atrium and ventricle, and is pumped to the lungs in order to receive oxygen. Once it has been replenished with oxygen, blood moves from the lungs to the left atrium and ventricle before it is pumped throughout the body.
